How To: Import Bookmarks in Google Chrome

If you have exported bookmarks from another browser or a previous Chrome session, you can easily import them into Chrome using an HTML file. Follow these steps to restore your saved websites.


Step 1 Open the Bookmark Manager:

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Hover over Bookmarks, then click Bookmark manager.

Step 2 Import Your Bookmarks:

  1. In the Bookmark Manager, click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the blue toolbar.
  2. Select Import bookmarks.

Step 3 Choose the Bookmarks File:

  1. A file selection window will open. Locate the HTML file containing your bookmarks.
  2. Select the file and click Open.

Step 4 View Your Imported Bookmarks:

Once imported, your bookmarks will appear in a new folder called Imported in the Bookmarks Bar. You can move them to different folders or keep them as they are.
